Very easy to use. Locks back in original setting you desire. I bought this Safety gate for my cat and it's the perfect size. Now I found out I will be a grandma..YEA! And I will be buying more to provide for the safety of my grandchild.
We replaced the wooden gate that we always had to undo go past. Having the door is so much nicer. Very sturdy and high enough that my big dog can't jump it if I need to keep her away from the baby.
I have an extra-wide opening to my kitchen and this was the perfect solution to keeping the little one out. It was easy to install, too. I didn't realize that it was unfinished wood, which is cool. We may paint it!

Exactly what I expected

We have a wide opening from our living room to our kitchen that's also at an angle. This gate works perfectly to fill our needs. It's a little hard to open and close with one hand at first, but you get the hang of it. It's sturdy and solid...as in it would take a lot to pull it out of the wall. Certainly not something you should be concerned about as long as you mount it correctly.
