We ordered one of these for my grandson for Christmas 2006. It was perfect: sturdy, well made and beautiful. He was an infant when we bought it and now are interested in a second one for his baby brother.
I was very surprised at how nice this toy box was. It's big and sturdy. I loved the fact that there was no assembly required.l The lid has a lever on it so it doesn't slam on the kid's fingers!!! it's great except when it's close to closing and the lid falls the rest of the way, but my son has fun laughing at the sound it makes. I would 100% recommend this and know that you'll be getting a good product.
Each of my neices and nephews get this toy chest for their first birthday/Christmas. It's wonderful because they'll never outgrow it, and it becomes a hope chest or sweater storage as they grow up.
I searched several sites to find an unpainted toy chest. Most of the sites the items were unassembled. The one I ordered from Ababy was already built. It was delivered with great packing so there was no damage. The piece was very well made. I was EXTREMELY happy with the piece I bought. A few days later I bought 2 other pieces which I am waiting for delivery. My kids class is decorating these items for a school fundraiser. You will NOT be disappointed.
This is a great product. Very well made and cheaper than I could have made it myself. The customer service was outstanding.
