    this chest is really nice and sturdy. it will last for years to come. the whole thing is made of wood except for the bottom which is MDF. i called the company and they assured me that the mdf is made from nontoxic glue. its pretty big it fits me and my daughter at story time. i got a lot of pieces from little colorado and they are all excellent.
